MELISSA RIVERS
Host, Red Carpet Coverage and Fashion Police

Melissa Rivers is uniquely qualified for her current position as full-time Host of E! Entertainment Television's event programming; having previously served as a feature reporter for "CBS This Morning" and a regular contributor to MTV's "Hangin' With MTV." In addition to her hosting of events programming, Melissa also serves as a Producer for the network. "Oh Baby! Melissa's Guide to Pregnancy" was one of E!'s highest rated specials of 2001. The follow up "Oh Baby! 2: Melissa's Guide to the First Year" aired in January 2002. She also co-hosts the cable channel's pre-awards, premiere and fashion specials with her mother, Joan Rivers.

In addition to her television credits, Melissa co-authored a mother/daughter advice column for McCall's Magazine from August, 1999 until 2001, when the magazine was sold. She also designed a line of sterling silver jewelry for QVC.

Melissa has virtually "been in the business" since the day she was born in New York City. At the age of four, the family relocated to Los Angeles, where Melissa attended John Thomas Dye School (grades 1-6), Marlborough School (grades 7-9) and graduated from The Buckley School (grades 10-12). She attended the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where she studied European History and graduated with distinction in major in 1989.

At Penn, Melissa was a founding member of the Tabard Society, a social/service organization dedicated to raising money and providing services for Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The group's social structure, similar to that of a sorority, provided the women involved a chance to enhance their college experience at Penn while giving something back to the community.

After working as an intern in the Los Angeles office of the "CBS News," Melissa studied with Sanford Meisner and Jered Barkley and worked as a researcher for "Rescue 911" and "True Detectives," as well as a contestant coordinator for "The Grudge Match." She subsequently appeared in the feature film "Secret Admirer" and in guest-starring roles on such series' as "Beverly Hills 90210."

Melissa made her directorial debut with the comedy, "Pizza Man" at Los Angeles' renowned Groundlings Theatre and starred in a limited run of "Eat Your Heart Out" at the Court Theatre. In 1995, Melissa played herself in "Tears and Laughter: The Joan and Melissa Rivers Story," an NBC Television MOW that traced her rocky relationship with her mother following the suicide of her father, Edgar Rosenberg.

On December 12, 1998, Melissa wed horse breeder and trainer, John Endicott. Their son, Edgar Cooper, was born on December 1, 2000. In May of 2002, Endicott filed for divorce.

Melissa and Cooper live in Los Angeles, as does Mr. Endicott, who see his son on a regular basis. The parting has been difficult, but amicable, and the couple intends to share joint custody of their son.

In her spare time, Melissa is involved with such charitable organizations as Suicide Survivors, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Heal the Bay and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Melissa also enjoys horseback riding and jumping, skiing, traveling and volleyball.
